Richard J. Tinneny
Rich is the
great grandson of
Patrick "Yankee Pat" Tinneny of Goladuff. He is the eldest of 7
children of John P. Tinneny and Helen M.
Diamond of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.
He was raised in Philadelphia and following
graduation from high school in 1960 he
served nearly 29 years in the United States
Air Force. In 1964 he married Lee M. Havens
of Westhampton Beach, Long Island, New
York. The couple had three children
Christopher (1965-1994), Patrick and Matthew
and four grandchildren John, Gavin,
Christopher and Alexander. Rich and Lee
live in Columbia, South Carolina where after
his Air Force career, he worked for 15
years as the Director of Admissions for a
large community college. Since 2004 he has
worked as a consultant. In researching the
family history he has connected with Tinneny
descendants around the world and made many
trips to Ireland where he and Lee have
enjoyed the wonderful experience of getting
to know our new found cousins there.

Lucy (Murray) Sherwood
Lucy is the
great grandaughter of
Mary Tinneny of Galaduff. She is one of 6
children, and the third daughter of Patrick
M. Murray and Mary Kathleen O'Reilly of
Newtownbutler, Co. Fermanagh, N. Ireland.
She was raised in Newtownbutler until the
age of 10 and in 1956 the family emigrated
to England. In 1963 she married George F.
Sherwood, they have two sons Paul Francis
and Michael Gary, and four grandchildren
John, Edward, Sara and Adam. Sadly George
passed away in 2010. After
discovering her Tinneny ancestors some years
ago she finds great reward in being part of
the effort to further the ongoing
collaboration of the numerous Tinneny
families around the world.
