According to her son Andy, while home in Ireland to visit her sister
Maggie about 1980, Kate returned to the ruins of her mother and her
Granny Tinneny’s
homeplace in the hollow on Goladuff. At
the time she was in her 70s. He said, she was taken there by boat and
was helped to the site of the homeplace and as she was leaving the site
she took a stone from the ruins of the house and brought it back with
her to her home in Manchester, England.
