Maxwell “Max” Tinneny was recently awarded the President's Award for Educational Excellence at his 5th grade promotion ceremony.  This award is presented to students who achieve an academic average of 90% or better in all subjects including special subject like physical education and art.  The certificate was signed by President Bush and accompanied by a letter from the White House.  Max was promoted from the 5th grade at JM Grasee Elementary School in Sellersville, PA to the 6th grade in Pennridge Central Middle School, Perkasie, PA.

 

Max is the great-great-great grandson of Yankee Pat Tinneny of Goladuff, Co. Fermanagh, Ireland, Greenock, Scotland and Philadelphia.  He is the son of Brian and Heather Tinneny of Chalfont, Pennsylvania.
