Private First Class Alexander “Al” Tinneny, Army Junior
Reserve Officer Training Corps, received the Veterans of
Foreign Wars of the United States, JROTC Citation and Medal.
The awards were presented
May 11, 2022 during the end of year awards ceremony at
Blythewood High School, Blythewood, South Carolina in
recognition for his “Outstanding Achievements and
Exceptional Leadership Abilities.” Al is assigned to
Charlie Company of the school’s Bengal Battalion.

military duties with the Army Reserve to attend
the ceremony.

Ireland; Greenock, Scotland and Philadelphia and his
wife Margaret Malloy.
