CHRISTENING

H. Parker Smith IV

Parker was Christened at Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic church Horsham, Pennsylvania on December 20, 2015 by Deacon Thomas Urbansky. His Godparents were Scott Poroski (John Closs was proxy for Scott) and Kelly Ann Murphy.

The Christening Gowns

The Persico Family Gown (Left) was worn by Parker for the Christening ceremony. It had been first worn by his great grandmother, Theresa Sokolowski Persico for her Christening in 1920. The gown was also worn Parker’s mother and her sisters as well as many other family members. The gown was made from alter linen.

The Smith Family Gown (Right) was also worn by Parker the day of the Christening but not for the ceremony. That gown was purchased in Paris in 1891 and been used by members of the family since then.
