In
February 2004, Andy Toland, the grandson of
Mary Tinneny of Goladuff, attended
the reunion of his military regiment, The Royal Irish Fusiliers. The reunion was held in Liverpool, England. With Andy in the
photograph is his wife Millicent. Four of the military medals worn by Andy in
the photograph represent service in various countries. While in service he was
assigned to Preston England, Northern Ireland, Palestine, Egypt, Aquaba in
Jordan, Gibraltar and Germany. The top medal was awarded for his service in
Palestine during combat operations.
