Daniel J. Tinneny

Detective Daniel Tinneny of the Hatfield Township Police Department was recognized April 1, 2021 for 30 years of service.

 

Dan started his career in 1991 as a uniformed Patrol Officer and distinguished himself as a K-9 Handler with his K-9 partner Konny for several years.  

He subsequently served as a member of the department’s Bike Patrol Unit, supervised the Photography Unit and was a member of the Highway Safety Unit.  

Dan is most well-known for leading the Neighborhood Watch Group as part of the departments  Community Policing Unit.  

As a detective he continues to worked a wide range of criminal investigations.

Dan is the son of Paul Tinneny and Barbara Finn of Philadelphia; grandson of John P. and Helen Diamond Tinneny of Philadelphia; great-grandson of James and Gertrude Spence Tinneny of Philadelphia and great-great-grandson of Patrick “Yankee Pat” Tinneny of Goladuff, Newtownbutler, Co. Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, Greenock, Scotland and Philadelphia and his wife Margaret Malloy.
