Dan, the son of Paul Tinneny and Barbara Finn of
Philadelphia, retired from the Hatfield Township Police
Department on September 2, 2021 with more than 30 years of
service. During his career he served as patrol officer,
officer-in-charge, K9 officer, highway safety officer (accident
reconstruction),
photographer, neighborhood watch facilitator and detective.
Approximately 75 family, friends and colleagues attended his
retirement ceremony and luncheon at the Hatfield Township
Municipal Building.
Dan is the grandson of John P. and Helen Diamond Tinneny of
Philadelphia, great-grandson of James
and Gertrude Spence Tinneny of
Philadelphia and great-great-grandson of Patrick
“Yankee
Pat” Tinneny of
Goladuff, Newtownbutler, Co. Fermanagh, Northern Ireland,
Greenock, Scotland and Philadelphia and his wife Margaret
Malloy.
