Mike
Tinneny, originally from
#Conshohocken,
PA, graduated in 1988 from Plymouth-Whitemarsh High
School where he met his future wife, Tina. Mike attended
Delaware Valley University. In the summer of 1990, he
joined the Wildwood Beach Patrol.
Mike
continued to guard two more years before graduating
college and subsequently became a Trooper in the
PA State Police.
Mike served for 25 years in various functions and
disciplines with the State Police until he retired in
May 2019 as a Lieutenant.
In
Mike’s
words, “I
was fortunate to re-qualify to work as a guard for
Wildwood Beach
Patrol last summer. I am
excited to be back for my fifth year with some great
people and a solid leadership structure. I enjoy
spending time with my family on the beach, fishing and
surfing.”
Mike
is the grandson of John and Helen Tinneny of
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, great-grandson of James
and Gertrude Tinneny of Philadelphia
and the great-great-grandson of Patrick
"Yankee Pat" Tinneny of Goladuff,
Newtownbutler, Co. Fermanagh, Northern Ireland,
Greenock, Scotland and Philadelphia and his wife
Margaret Malloy.
