John
McGuinness, of Derrykerrib Island, County Fermanagh,
Northern Ireland and Avril Gilchrist of Eddworthtown, County
Longford, Ireland became engaged October 11, 2022. They were
on holiday in Chicago, Illinois from Ireland when John
proposed and gave Avril an engagement ring. John said they
got engaged in Molly’s Bar in Chicago “because Avril is mad
about the TV series Chicago Fire.” Many scenes in the series
are filmed in “Molly’s Bar” which is actually Lottie’s Pub.
The wedding will likely be in 2023.
