Erin Celaya, the 6 year old daughter
of Daniel and Kerri Norton Celaya of Hillsborough,
New Jersey made her first Irish soda bread March 12,
2023 using her great-grandmother Hannah Looney’s
recipe.
Hannah got the recipe from her sister in law Madge
Looney from County Cork, Ireland many years ago.
Erin is the
granddaughter of Kenneth and Mary Looney Norton of
Dumont, New Jersey; great-granddaughter of Thomas
and Mary Tierney Norton of Astoria, Queens, New
York; great-great-granddaughter of Francis
and Catherine Reilly Tinneny of
Belturbet, Co. Cavan, Ireland; great-great-great-granddaughter
of
Thomas and
Bridget Gilmartin Tinneny of
Belturbet and great- great-great-great-granddaughter
of Francis
and Anne Elliott Tinneny of
Belturbet.
