Erin Celaya, the 7
year old daughter of Daniel and Kerri
Norton Celaya
of Hillsborough, New Jersey takes Irish dance
lessons at the Lynn Academy of Irish Dance. October
21, 2023 she, along with 30 other Irish dancers
under 8 years old, competed in the Hagen-Kavavagh
Halloween Feis overseen by the USA Irish Dance
Alliance. The competition was held at St. Agnes
Cathedral in Rockville Centre, New York. Erin placed
6th in both the Reel and the Light Jig for which she
won 2 trophies.
Erin is the granddaughter of Kenneth and Mary Looney
Norton of Dumont, New Jersey; great-granddaughter
of Thomas and Mary Tierney Norton of Astoria,
Queens, New York; great-great-granddaughter of Francis
and Catherine Reilly Tinneny of
Belturbet, Co. Cavan, Ireland; great-great-great-granddaughter
of Thomas
and Bridget Gilmartin Tinneny of
Belturbet and great- great-great-great-granddaughter
of Francis
and Anne Elliott Tinneny of
Belturbet.
