Lisa
Tinneny, wife of Danny Tinneny of Lansdale,
Pennsylvania, recently completed a series of
three walls of floor to ceiling mosaic
scenes in the children’s department at the
Souderton Mennonite Church, Souderton,
Pennsylvania. The murals illustrate the
pathway to Jesus symbolized by the path seen
in each of the images. The project took
nearly 2 years and Lisa to complete with
assistance from pre-school age children to
adults in the congregation. When the project
was completed a sermon was delivered to the
congregation using the mural as an example
of how “we are all by ourselves like broken
pieces of tile – when we come together in
God’s image we form a wonderful mosaic.”
Lisa’s husband Dan is the great-great
grandson of
Patrick "Yankee Pat" Tinneny
of Goladuff, Newtownbutler, Co.
Fermanagh, Ireland, Greenock, Scotland and
Philadelphia and the grandson of John and
Helen Tinneny of Philadelphia.
