Maxwell is the son of Brian and Heather Tinneny and the great-great-great grandson of Yankee Pat Tinneny of Goladuff, County Fermanagh, Ireland and Philadelphia. He made First Holy Communion Saturday April 30, 2005 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Hilltown, Pennsylvania.  Following the ceremony there was a party at the home of his parents to celebrate this important event in his life.
