Alyson Carter, the
daughter of Robert Tinneny of Killahurk, Carrigallen, County
Leitrem and Gladys Morehead of Cavan Town, County Cavan,
Ireland recently attended and completed the prestigious
Cordon Bleu Culinary School in Ottawa Canada.
Taking the month long gourmet
catering course at the culinary institute fulfilled
her long time dream of formal training in gourmet
food preparation and presentation. "It was
wonderful," she said. While she was at the school
in Ottawa, her husband John tended the home
fires and their daughters at their home in Halifax,
Nova Scotia, Canada. While at the Cordon Bleu, in
her spare time, Alyson read the short stories of
William Treavor, a distinguished Irish author.
