Kellan, the son of Cyndi and Christopher Harrod of New
York City, graduated from the Special Music School High
School in New York City June 21, 2019. The school is the
only one in New York’s K-12 system in which music is the
main focus. Kellan was a vocal major. Among his
accomplishments he was named to the National Honor
Society, received the Excellence in Vocal Performance
award (top voice student) and was the student body
President. In the fall of 2019 he will attend the Royal
Conservatoire in Glasgow, Scotland.
Kellan is the great-grandson of
Catharine McColgan Steele, the
great-great grandson of John McColgan and Mary
Jane Tinneny of
Greenock, Scotland and Philadelphia and the
great-great-great grandson of Patrick
“Yankee Pat” Tinneny of
Goladuff, Newtownbutler, County Fermanagh, Northern
Ireland; Greenock, Scotland and Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania and his wife Margaret Malloy.
