Maryam McManus, the daughter of Sami M. Hassan and
Karen McManus of Glasgow, Scotland and Toronto,
Canada, graduated from Trent University Durham June
2, 2022. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in the Honors
program with majors in Psychology and Sociology and
graduated with honors and on the President’s List.
Maryam plans on pursuing a Master Degree in Social
Justice at the University of Toronto.
Maryam is the granddaughter of Patrick and Mary McCullogh McManus of Glasgow, Scotland;
great-granddaughter of James and Mary Carney McManus
Jr.; great-great-granddaughter of James and
Catherine Tinneny McManus Sr. and
great-great-great-granddaughter of Patrick and
Margaret Tummon Tinneny of Goladuff, Newtownbutler,
County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland.
