OBITUARY

James J. Tinneny

1941 - 1921

  Obituary of Jim Tinneny.
  James J. Tinneny, age 80, of Conshohocken, PA passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 after a brief illness.  He was born in Philadelphia, PA on July 17, 1941, the son of the late John and Mary (Redmond) Tinneny. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Jim was raised in Manayunk then lived most of his life in Conshohocken. He was a proud graduate of Roman Catholic High School and a faithful parishioner of St. Matthew's RC Church.  Prior to his retirement, he co-owned and operated Tri-State Office Systems.  He was a Philadelphia sports fan, enjoyed vacationing in Washington D.C. and the PA Dutch Country with his family as well as playing horseshoes. 

He honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Phu Bai.

He was the husband of the late Carol A. (Zinni) Tinneny.

  He is survived by his daughter, Carolyn (Jeffrey) Graczyk of Gilbertsville, and three grandchildren Matthew, Gianna, and Andrew.

His Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022 at 10:30 AM from St. Matthew's RC Church, 219 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428.  Relatives and friends may call on Friday morning from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the Church.  Entombment will take place in St. Matthew's Cemetery, Conshohocken, PA.

Jim was the son of John and Mary Redmond Tinneny of Philadelphia and grandson of Patrick "Yankee Pat" Tinneny of Goladuff, Newtownbutler, Co. Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, Greenock, Scotland and Philadelphia and his wife Margaret Malloy.
