OBITUARY

Eileen M. Mullen

1949 ~ 2022

Eileen M. Mullen (nee Tinneny) of Manayunk, passed suddenly on Friday, June 3, 2022 at the age of 72.

Eileen was an active and devoted parishioner of Holy Family Church. She spent many years volunteering as a lunch mother and anything that was needed at the Holy Family School where her two daughters attended. She enjoyed baking for her family and friends. Most notably her homemade cinnamon buns, chocolate chip cake and Thanksgiving pies but could be counted on for anything that was requested. Eileen loved Christmas, Hallmark movies and sitting by her Christmas tree. Most importantly, Eileen loved being with her family and always knowing what was going on in their lives even if it was for a quick chat and an even quicker hang up.

Eileen spent her younger years working at TastyKake but she was most known and recognized for her time at Marchiano's Bakery, where she was employed for more than 30 years. She started as being an essential employee but quickly turned into family.

Eileen is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Harry Mullen along with her two daughters, Lisa Whittle and Mary Kate Snyderman (Eric). Her proudest and most cherished role was the title of Mom Mom to her 4 "favorite" grandchildren, Christopher Ryan, Erik Lee, Finn Patrick and Caycee Lynn. They knew they could always count on her for everything and anything. You could always find her on the sidelines or in her favorite chair cheering and keeping score as she watched her grandchildren play. You could count on her for any stat or score as she always had her pen and paper ready in her pocketbook. She was their biggest fan.

Eileen is survived by her siblings, Betty Thummel, Joseph Tinneny (Sue), Robert Tinneny and Joyce Kresge (Al).
Eileen was preceded in death by her mother and father, her sisters, Maryann Long (Rocky), Doris (the late George) and her brother John Tinneny. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and family.

Family and friends are invited to her viewing on Thursday evening, June 9th from 7 pm to 9pm at Koller Funeral Home, 6835 Ridge Ave. A Viewing will also be held on Friday, June 10th at Holy Family Church at 9:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Westminster Cemetery.
