OBITUARY

Edward Thomas “Spence” Haughey, Jr.

1939 - 2023

Edward Thomas Spence” Haughey, Jr. of Norristown, PA peacefully passed away on Friday, March 17th, 2023. Spence was born in Philadelphia, PA on October 2nd, 1939 to the late Edward Thomas and Mary Margaret Haughey. 

Preceded in death by sister Susan Dalton and survived by sisters Mary Lee Simpson, Faith Coyne and Ann Lerro. Also, Spence is survived by son Edward and wife Shannon Haughey, son Tony and wife Angel Haughey; also survived by his childrens Mother Johanna Thomas Amici, and grandchildren Anthony, Paige, Erin and Sophia Haughey. 

He worked as a District Sales Manager for Canada Dry before working in Sales for Snap-On Tools on The Main Line in Chester County. When not working, you could find Spence on the golf course or watching one of his beloved Philadelphia sports teams.

His Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 19 East Germantown Pike, East Norriton, PA 19401.

Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Thursday morning from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

Spence was the grandson of James and Gertrude Spence Tinneny, Sr. of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and the great-grandson of Patrick “Yankee Pat” Tinneny of Goladuff, Newtownbutler, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, Greenock, Scotland and Philadelphia and his wife Margaret Malloy.
