Daniel was the son of Patrick and Anna Ambrose Tinneny of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and the grandson of Patrick “Yankee Pat” Tinneny of Goladuff, Newtownbutler, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland; Greenock, Scotland and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and his wife Margaret Malloy.
