Terrence J. Tinneny

1942 – 2019

Terrence J. Tinneny, 76, of Harleysville, Pennsylvania passed away Thursday, August 22, 2019. He was born in Philadelphia, December 29, 1942, the son of the late John P. and Helen (Diamond) Tinneny. Terry had been living in Harleysville, and formerly lived in Trappe and Conshohocken Pennsylvania. 

He worked with Montgomery County Correctional Facility for over 30 years and reached the rank of Major. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam era. 

He was the husband of the late Regina M. (Harrington) Tinneny. Survivors include sons Michael (Tina) Tinneny and Mark Tinneny; brothers Richard, Paul and Kevin Tinneny and sisters Michele Johnston and Donna Marie Persico. He is also survived by grandchildren Erin and Michael. 

His funeral Mass was held Tuesday August 27, 2019 at St Matthew’s Church, 219 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA. Interment was in St. Matthew’s Cemetery, Conshohocken, PA. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to St. Matthew RC Church, 210 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428.

Terry was the grandson of James and Gertrude Spence Tinneny and the great-grandson of Patrick “Yankee Pat” Tinneny of Goladuff, Newtownbutler, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland; Greenock, Scotland and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and his wife Margaret Malloy.
