Paul A. Tinneny is the son of Paul B. Tinneny and Barbara Finn.  He was born and raised in Philadelphia and following high school he enlisted in the United States Army where he served from October 1991 to February 1994 in the combat engineering specialty.  He served with the 14th Combat Engineer Battalion, 7th Infantry Light Division at Fort Ord California and with that battalion's detachment at Fort Sherman in Panama.  Paul rose to the rank of Specialist (E-4) and was awarded the Army Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal and the Army Achievement Medal.
