Daniel Patrick Klebes III is son of
Daniel P. Klebes, Jr., of Philadelphia and Wanda Rockhill
and the great-grandson of Patrick Tinneny the son of
"Yankee Pat". He was born in Philadelphia. In 1989 Danny enlisted in the United
States Army for two years. He was trained and assigned
duties as a Field Artillery Fire Support Specialist, better
known as a forward observer.
He was deployed to southwest Asia
for Operation Desert Shield and was in a desert camp and on
guard duty at the camp's perimeter just after one o'clock
a.m. on January 17th, 1991, when the night came alive with
the beginning of the battle know as "Desert
