Kevin Hart of Erma, New Jersey, was a volunteer with
the Lower Township New Jersey Rescue Squad (LTRS)
from the time he was a student at Wildwood Catholic
High School. He served with the rescue squad for
more than 50 years and as Chief for at least 30
years.
When Kevin past away February 4, 2023, his nephew
and godson Robert “Bob” Campbell posted a tribute to
him including the following comments about his
service to the community with the Lower Township
Rescue Squad.
“Today my family and the EMS community lost a great
man. For as long as I can remember, Uncle Kev was
there for the citizens of Lower Township".
His dedication to the rescue squad steadily
increased the size of our family over time as every
LTRS member became an extended family member.
Growing up there wasn't a day when we didn't see
him, even if just for a few minutes and he always
made sure he flashed his red lights every time he
left.
As I got older I was proud to have started my career
in public service as an EMT with him as my Chief and
I appreciated the support he gave me as I began my
law enforcement career. If he didn't push me to join
the rescue squad, I wouldn't have my amazing family
today because I met my wife (yes, both of them)
there and now have 4 beautiful daughters.”
Kevin was the son of Francis and Helen Townsend Hart
of North Cape May, New Jersey; Grandson of Cornelius
and Alice Tinneny Hart of
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and the great-grandson
of Patrick “Yankee
Pat” Tinneny of
Goladuff, Newtownbutler, County Fermanagh, Northern
Ireland, Greenock, Scotland and Philadelphia and his
wife Margaret Malloy.
