Terrence
John "Terry" Tinneny is the son of John P. Tinneny and Helen
Diamond of Philadelphia. He was born and raised in
Philadelphia. Terry was drafted into the United States Army in
1963. He completed basic training at Fort Jackson, South
Carolina and was trained as a communications specialist at Fort Bragg
in North Carolina He was then sent overseas where he was
assigned to three different locations in West Germany the 7th Army
Headquarters at Heidelberg, Swetzingen and finally to Mannheim.
He returned to the United States in in 1965 and finished the last
month in the Army in Washington D.C.
