Pat is the son of Richard J. Tinneny of Philadelphia and Lee M. Havens. He was born in the Philippine Islands. He joined the Cassatt Fire Department, Kershaw County, South Carolina as a volunteer in 1997.  He remains extremely active with that department responding to vehicle accidents and fires in and around his community.
