Peggy Kemp (1944 - 2002) was the daughter
of Isabella M. McColgan and Joseph C.
Kemp and the granddaughter of Mary Jane Tinneny and John P. McColgan of
Greenock, Scotland and Philadelphia. She was the great-granddaughter of
Yankee Pat Tinneny of Goladuff, County Fermanagh, Ireland.
In
1991 after working in various capacities and raising a family Peggy returned
to college to pursue a degree in nursing, a profession she had been
interested in since her days as a student at
John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls' High School
in Philadelphia where she was an active member of the Future Nurses Club.
She enrolled in the nursing program at Camden County Community College in
New Jersey where she completed the degree in December 1995 and became a
registered nurse.
After earning her nursing credentials, Peggy found employment as a nurse and
a telephonic case manager with IntraCorp, a division of the SIGNA Insurance
Company. In that job she primarily worked with workers compensation
patients.
