above worked in Passenger Service/Ground Operations for
British Caledonian Airways from 1979 to 1986 at the Glasgow
International Airport in Scotland. She was certified
proficient in French and
Spanish, plus several BCAL and IATA airline courses. She
completed her BCAL training at the British
Caledonian Airways Training Facility,
Gatwick Airport,
London, England.
Karen was accepted
into 'Her Majesty's Diplomatic Service' in London. U.K.,
shortly after receiving her "landed status", but emigrated
from Glasgow, Scotland to Toronto, Canada on April 9, 1987.
She continued
training/teaching/instruction and worked with 2 other
airlines in Canada, Wardair Canada Ltd. and British Airways
both in Toronto.
Karen was raised
in Milngavie, Glasgow, Scotland and is the great-great
granddaughter of Patrick Tinneny and Margaret Tommon of
Newtownbutler, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. She and
her daughter Maryam currently live in Toronto Canada.
