Joseph Murphy, the son of Joseph and Grace Hanley
Murphy Sr. of Woodbury, New Jersey, enlisted in the
United States Air Force in July of 1974. Following
basic training at Lackland Air Force Base he was
assigned briefly to Norton Air Force Base,
California. He then transferred to Dover Air Force Base,
Delaware where he served 6 years in the Air Force
Reserve as a crew chief on C 141 and C 5 cargo
aircraft.
Joe is the grandson of Patrick and Maryann Murray
Murphy; great-grandson of

Mary Tinneny Murray
of Derrykenny,
Newtownbutler, Co. Fermanagh, Northern Ireland,
great-great-grandson of
Mary
Tinneny
