Joseph P. Murphy Jr. is the son of Joseph P. and
Grace Hanley Murphy Sr. of Gloucester, New Jersey.
Joe has served as a volunteer in various departments
and positions for more than 20 years. These include
Gloucester City FD (2 years), Colonial Manor FD as
an Engineer (8 years); Oaklyn FD as a Captain (10
years, Walkill FD, as Hook Ladder and Hose Captain
(3 yrs); Singerly FD Battalion Chief (3 yrs);
Brooklawn FD, Chief Engineer (2 yrs). All in the
state of New Jersey.
Joe is the grandson of Patrick and Mary Anne Murray;
great-grandson of
Patrick and
Mary Tinneny Murray Derrykenny,
Newtownbutler, Co, Fermanagh, Northern Ireland;
