Thomas Tinneny enlisted in the United States Army
March 28,1968 following graduation from Worcester
Central High School, Worcester, New York. He served in Vietnam during the war and was
discharged March 26, 1971 and returned to New York.
Thomas was the son of
Philip and
Mary O’Sullivan Tinneny
who immigrated from Ireland to New York where they
raised their family. His paternal grandparents were
Robert
and Elizabeth Murphy Tinneny
of Killahurk, County Leitrim, Ireland.
