September 4, 2021, Dermot and Cormac from
Lurgan, Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland and their uncle Sean
Lennon from London, took a day trip to meet cousins in
Belturbet and Newtownbutler and to visit the Tinneny home
place on Goladuff.
After a short visit with their cousin Johnny
Murray at the Murray home in Derrykenny, Newtownbutler they
crossed the border into Co. Cavan in the Republic and
visited the home of Hubert and Susanna Tinneny in Quivvy,
Belturbet. This was the first time the three met Hubert and
Susanna.
After a dinner, prepared by Susan, she rowed
the three across Quivvy Lough to Goladuff where for the
first time they visited the ruins of the home place of Big
John Tinneny.
