John and Susan Murphy Nolan of Gloucester, New
Jersey, traveled to England, Northern Ireland and
the Republic of Ireland where they visited
relatives. Susan is the daughter of Joseph and Grace
Hanley Murphy Sr. of Gloucester, New Jersey.
The first leg of their
journey,
December 1-3, 2023, was to visit Susan’s nephew U.S.
Air Force Chief Master Sergeant Terrance Murphy and
his family at Lakenheath, England.
John and Susan

After their visit with Terry and family Susan and
John spent three days in London then two days in
Manchester where they attended a concert before
crossing over to Northern Ireland.
Their first stop
in Northern Ireland was Belfast where they visited
with Susan’s cousins Maura Devlin Boyd, her uncle
Terry Devlin and her sister Roisin Devlin. While in
the area they took a short trip to Lurgan, County
Armagh where they visited with Susan’s cousin Andrew Toland and his wife Millie and daughter Angela.

From Northern Ireland John and Susan wrapped up
their trip in Dublin where they enjoyed a visit to
the well known Temple Bar in Dublin.

is the daughter of Joseph P. and Grace Hanley Murphy
Sr. of Gloucester, New Jersey; granddaughter
of James and Mary Murray Murphy of Gloucester;
great-granddaughter of Patrick
and Mary Tinneny Murray of
Derrykenny, Newtownbutler, Co, Fermanagh, and
great-great-granddaughter of Mary
Tinneny of
Goladuff.
