Mary is the daughter of James Tinneny of Roslea, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland and Mary A. Kenrick. Mary was born in New Zealand.  She and John Barton were married on November 6, 1972 in Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Wolverhampton, England.
