Donald is the grandson of “Yankee Pat” Tinneny of Goladuff, County Fermanagh, Ireland and the son of James Tinneny and Gertrude Spence of Philadelphia.  He married Elizabeth “Betty” Bailer.  They were married on September 27, 1969 at Saint Lawrence Catholic Church in Upper Darby Pennsylvania.  Sponsors for the wedding were Donald’s friend John Budzik and Betty’s twin sister Alice.
