Margaret "Maggie" Tinneny

Margaret Tinneny was the eighth child and fourth daughter of James Tinneny and Mary Ann McEntyre.  She was born at Goladuff on March 29, 1907.  She was baptized at Saint Mary's Church in Newtownbutler.  Her godparents were Philip Tinneny and Margaret Tinneny. 

Maggie's sister Mary died in the early 1920s while working for the Murray family in Strokestown, County Roscommon. Maggie went to Strokestown and took her place and eventually she married her employer John Murray.   

Her niece Mary McGarvey said that once Maggie went away from Goladuff to work and married, she only seemed to come back for funerals. The only time that Mary saw her was at the funeral of Maggie's mother.

Maggie and John had five children Mary, Elizabeth Margaret, Veronica and John.  Margaret died on or around Good Friday about 1962.
