Janet M. Hart, 44, Villas, lost her courageous battle with cancer Tuesday, February 27 at Shore Memorial Medical Center, Somer's Point NJ. Born September 3, 1979, in Cape May Court House, Janet was the daughter of the late Stanley and Janet (Swartz) Benezet.

She graduated from Middle Township High School and earned her certification as an emergency medical technician.  She worked for the Lower Township Emergency Medical Rescue Squad. 

Janet will forever be missed by her husband Joseph K. Hart, Jr. whom she married November 17, 2017; her daughter Casey Benezet; step-son Cody Hart; brothers Ben and Mike (Becky); mother-in-law Gail Banmiller; and many dear friends.

Funeral Services will be held 11AM Friday, March 8 at Evoy Funeral Home 3218 Bayshore Road North Cape May. Rev. Jamie King, Off.  Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 10AM until the time of service.  Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Janet’s husband Joseph was the son of Joseph Hart; grandson of  Francis and Helen Townsend Hart Sr. of North Cape May, New Jersey; great-grandson of Cornelius and Alice Tinneny Hart Sr. of Philadelphia and great-great-grandson of Patrick “Yankee Pat” Tinneny of Goladuff, Newtownbutler, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, Greenock, Scotland and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and his wife Margaret Malloy.
