OBITUARY

Eileen Stolte

1949 - 2025

MONROE TOWNSHIP-EILEEN STOLTE (née Tierney) passed away peacefully at her home in Monroe Township, New Jersey on Monday, August 11, 2025. 

Born in 1949 to Thomas and Dorothy (née Trimmel) Tierney, she grew up in Oakland, New Jersey, attended college in Tennessee and moved back to New Jersey to raise her family. 

Prior to retiring in 2016, she worked for over ten years at Munich Re America as an underwriting analyst. 

A devoted mother of three, Eileen was a devout Catholic and dedicated her life to her children and to her faith. 

She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Eileens joy was her family, and she filled their lives with laughter, warmth and comfort. Her smile will always remain in the memory of those who knew her. 

She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to have known her. 

Eileen is survived by her husband of 20 years, Kenneth Stolte; her three children, Erik, Coleen and Lillith; her stepchildren, Richard and Kristen; her three grandsons, Alec, Dylan and Colin; her brothers, Paul, Timothy, and James, and many nieces and nephews. 

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, at The BRUNSWICK MEMORIAL HOME, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, NJ. For directions, please see Events listed below.

Eileen is the daughter of Thomas and Dorothy Tierney of Oakland, New Jersey; granddaughter of  Francis and Catherine Reilly Tinneny of Belturbet, County Cavan, Ireland and New York; great-granddaughter of Thomas and Bridget Gilmartin Tinneny of Belturbet and the great-great-granddaughter of Francis and Anne Elliott Tinneny of Belturbet.

Note: The surnames of Francis and Catherine Reilly Tinneny were changed from Tinneny to Tierney sometime after arriving in America. Thereafter the surname of their descendants has been Tierney.
