Van and daughter Hattie Brember, the wife and daughter
of Peter Brember, participated in the “Race for Life
Sherborne 2013” at Sherborne Castle, Sherborne, Dorset,
United Kingdom on June 23, 2013. The annual race is a
fundraiser that supports
groundbreaking research into new drugs and treatments
for cancer and is a women only event. It's a
nationwide charity raising funds for cancer research.
Everyone who takes part has either lost a relative or
friend to cancer or knows someone who is currently
fighting it.
Van and Hattie ran in memory of Van’s father, Hattie's
granddad Hugh Brember
the husband of Margaret Tinneny and for aunts, uncles,
cousins and friends. The race raised approximately
£200,000. Also in the photo is the family dog Gus.
Hattie is the great-granddaughter of Robert
and Elizabeth (Murphy) Tinneny of Killahurk,
Carrigallen, county Leitrem, Ireland and the
granddaughter of Margaret (Tinneny) and the late Hugh
Brember of Stevenage, Hertfordshire, England.
