Michael “Mick” Casey was
was born in Belturbet,
County Cavan, Ireland February 18, 1880. He
became a postman with the Irish Department of
Posts and Telegrams at an early age and spent
his entire career in Belturbet where he served
as postman then the town’s post master for many
years. Mick was the the son of Margaret Tinneny
and Michael Casey of Belturbet and grandson of
Francis and Ann Elliott Tinneny
of Belturbet.
