						Mrs. Mary Ann Murray,

formerly Reynolds, of Derrykenny, Newtownbutler, pased
away peacefully at the Erne Hospital on March 19, 2011.

Born in 1913 in Redhills, Co. Cavan, she was educated in
Keeney School and was outstanding at the written and
						spoken Irish Language.

Times being hard, she left school at 13 and went to work
as a live-in nanny in Cavan, Longford and finally
Clones. She was always a hard working, patient and
pleasant lady. She married in 1939 and had six children.
Her husband and two sons sadly predeceased her.

She was a deeply religious person and it was her strong
faith in God which saw her through many trials with
silent endurance. She enjoyed walking and walked to
Clones to meet her two brothers at football matches. She
enjoyed wildlife, domestic animals and fowl. She had a
passion for gardening which she did until her 96th year.
She had a great love of Irish music and song, two of her
favourites being Count John McCormack and Percy French.
She liked to attend Drumhaw Day Centre on a weekly
basis. She took great enjoyment from her family and
extended family especially at Christmas and her
birthdays when she enjoyed a glass of sherry with the
many welcome visitors to her home.

She was a very warm, loving, caring lady, who was held
in great esteem, reflected by the large attendance at
her funeral which took place in Newtownbutler on March
						22. She will be sadly missed by her son, three
						daughters, eight grandchildren and three
						great-grandchildren.

The Month's Mind Mass will take place on April 20 at 7
						p.m. in St. Mary's Church, Newtownbutler. |
