OBITUARY

Grace Anna Murphy

1933 - 2003 

Grace Anna (Hanley) Murphy Of Woodbury Heights, NJ on Nov. 2, 2003. Aged 70 years. Grace attended Gloucester City High School where she was involved in field hockey as well as numerous clubs. She graduated in 1951 and worked for the Delaware River Port Authority as well as New York Shipyard. Grace married Joseph in 1952 and was an excellent home-maker & mother. Grace went back into the workforce as her children grew older and finished her career with 18 years at the Cooper Hospital Camden where she was the assistant construciton manager for the new Kellerman Pavillion. She traveled extensively with Joe after they retired and enjoyed her children and grandchildren along with her family and friends.  

She is the beloved wife of Joe devoted mother of Susan Nolan & her husband John of Gloucester City and Joe Jr. of Brooklawn loving grandmother of Kelly & Patrick Nolan of Gloucester City and SSGT Terrance Murphy of NC & Sean Murphy of VA & great grandmother of 1 dear sister of Robert Penrose & his wife Rhoda of Brooklawn and the late James Penrose Howard Hanley Robert Hanley and Katherine Graff devoted daughter of the late Emma & John Hanley dear Aunt of Patricia Graff of Brooklawn Kathy & her husband Raymond Gesualdo of DE and Joyce Conway & her husband Michael of Gloucester CityMass of Resurrection Wed 10AM in St. Margaret RC Church 3rd Ave. & Beech St. Woodbury Hgts. NJ where friends may call after 9AM.Interment Manahath Cem. Glassboro NJ. Arrangements by McGUINNESS FUNERAL HOME Woodbury.

Grace’s husband, Joseph P. Murphy Sr.,was the son of James and Mary Anne Murray Murphy, grandson of Patrick and Mary Tinneny Murray of Derrykenny, Newtownbutler, Co. Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, great-grandson of Mary Tinneny of Goladuff, Newtownbutler and the great-great grandson of Hugh Tinneny of Goladuff.
